THE SERVICE DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY COLLECT ANY INFORMATION, EXCEPT FOR INFORMATION INCLUDED IN COOKIES.

Cookies constitute IT data, in particular text files which are stored in the Service User’s terminal equipment and they are intended for the use of the Service websites. Cookies usually contain the name of a website which they come from, time of storing them in the terminal equipment and a unique number.

The operator of the Service Gdańskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Gdańsk 80-435, ul. Biała 1b is an entity which places cookies in the Service User’s terminal equipment and obtains access to them.

Cookies are used in order to:

  •   adjust content of the Service websites to the User’s preferences and optimise the usage of websites; in particular, cookies allow to recognise the Service User’s device and properly display a given website, adjusted to their individual needs;
  •   create statistics which help to understand in which manner the Service Users use websites, which facilitates improvement of their structure and content;

Two basic types of cookies are used as part of the Service: session and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary files which are stored in the User’s terminal equipment until the moment of logging out, leaving a given website or switching off a given software (an Internet browser). Persistent cookies are stored in the User’s terminal equipment for a definite period of time in the parameters of cookies or until the moment of their removal by the User.

The following types of cookies are used as part of the Service:

  •   necessary cookies which enable usage of services available as part of the Service, e.g. authentication cookies used for services which require authentication as part of the Service;
  •   cookies whose purpose is to ensure safety, e.g. used in order to detect misuses regarding authentication as part of the Service;
  •   efficiency cookies which enable collecting information in the manner of using the Service websites;
  •   functional cookies which enable memorising settings selected by the User and personalisation of the User interface, e.g. regarding a selected language or region which the User comes from, font size, look of a website etc.;
  •   advertising cookies which enable roviding Users with advertising content which is more adjusted to their interests.

In many cases software used for browsing websites (an Internet browser) allows for storing cookies in the User terminal equipment by default. The Service Users can change settings regarding cookies at any time.
These settings can be changed in particular in such a manner as to block automatic service of cookies in the settings of an Internet browser or to inform each time they are placed in the Service User equipment. The Operator of the Service informs thatlimitations concerning usage of cookies can affect some functionalities available on the Service websites.

Cookies are placed in the Service User’s terminal equipment and can be also used by advertisers and partners cooperating with the Service operator.
